Selmer, Pre-Centered Tone B Flat Clarinet
A Selmer Paris clarinet, this model, featuring a circular register key mounting is normally referred to as a pre-Centered Tone. This instrument was formerly owned by an English professional player and has seen much use. The Bb has matching serial numbers, N5243 which dates to 1949. The wood is in fair condition, with no cracks or repairs, but there are numerous surface marks and nicks, associated with a long and busy professional career. The German Silver key work shows a heavy natural patina, but no wear. The pads are all fish skin, in fair used condition. Our workshop has thoroughly checked this instrument over, with regulation and tenon & touch corks attended to as necessary. The m'piece is a Selmer HS, in very good condition. The case is used Conn, with interior stains, but it still, latches and protects the clarinet well.
