Boosey & Hawkes, London & Paris, B Flat Clarinet
A Boosey & Hawkes, London & Paris, pre-war 1010 clarinet in good condition, which IS a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This clarinet was last owned by an enthusiastic amateur and collector of wide bore English clarinets, who has taken excellent care of it.
The London & Paris 1010 model, as the name suggests, was made for B&H in France. The clarinets have two matching serial nos. one stamped by the manufacturer, and the other by Boosey & Hawkes. The Bb has serial nos. 2043/1238. All pieces are matching and serial numbered apart from the barrel & bell, it is likely both of these are from a later 1010. The key work has been plated in silver at some point in the past, and apart from some minor signs of wear the plating is good throughout. The instrument has tan leather pads throughout in excellent condition. The m'piece is a Rico Reserve XO which has been bored out to 1010 dimensions and the case is a "as new" Jacob Winter.
