Noblet, by Leblanc, Artist E Flat Clarinet
This is a very good condition Noblet Artist Eb clarinet, by Leblanc, which is an entry level professional instrument. This clarinet is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct, the last owner was Pete Whyman, the well known saxophonist & clarinettist and he bought it from the original owner, Martin Ronchetti, who was for many years Principal Clarinet of the BBC Welsh Symphony Orchestra. The instrument has been used for numerous performances, recordings and broadcasts with most of the UK's leading orchestras. The wood condition overall is good, with only a few surface marks and scuffs, there are NO cracks or repairs. In addition to the original barrel of 40.5mm a custom barrel of 43.0mm is included, which actually tunes this Eb excellently. The instrument has some newer tan leather pads, with the others being fish skin, all pads are sealing well. There is no joint wobble and the regulation is in fine order. The Nickel Silver plating is also in good condition, with only slight wear, mainly to the ring fingers. The rear thumb rest has been inverted, with extra thick cork fitted, the serial numbers are A62523. The m'piece is an original Leblanc, 2, the m'piece cap has a fine crack, but still protects as it should. The case, whilst much used, is also in good condition, and this Eb comes with 2 sealed Vandoren 3 reeds. In summation this is an excellent value, well tuning Eb, with an impressive provenance.
