Leblanc, Vito, Alto Clarinet
This is a good condition Leblanc Vito Alto Clarinet model 7165 in Resonite to low Eb, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The instrument is of fully plateau, i.e. covered hole, design, and has a bore of 18.0 mm. There are no cracks to the body, which is in fine condition throughout. For ease of manufacture, Leblanc Vito Bass clarinets and Alto clarinets are made in two pieces, in fact thereafter the central screw is tightened and they should be left assembled as one piece models. The crook and bell both have slight "dings" see photos 5 & 14 respectively. Neither of these has any affect on playability. The key work is nickel silver plated, which is, on the whole, in good condition, with only minor spot plating wear. The matching serial numbers are 8125. The Alto has a mixture of leather & fish skin pads thoughout some are used, but the majority are new, and the instrument is sealing well. The case is well used with some interior wear and a replacement handle, but it latches and protects the Alto well. There is a sling and the supplied m'piece is a G Bundy. This Alto plays easily and is an ideal first Alto clarinet purchase, it is also excellent value, as this instrument retails new for over £3000.
