Selmer, 10S B Flat Clarinet
A fair condition Selmer 10S clarinet, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This instrument has been professionally owned and played by a Belfast based professional player. The Selmer 10 Series was the first major model manufactured by Selmer to adopt a small bore undercut design, in the Buffet Crampon manner: Indeed with a bore of only 14.60mm, the 10S is even smaller in the bore than the Buffet R13. The clarinet is extremely lively, easy to play, and has excellent intonation.
This Bb, S/N A5743, dates to 1979 and has Nickel Silver plate which shows much wear, mainly to the ring finger touchpieces. There are no cracks or damage to the wood, but it does show many surface marks and scratches. The original fixed thumb rest has been removed, and replaced with a modern adjustable type. All pieces are original and have matching stamps. The clarinet has used fish skin pads throughout in good condition. The m'piece is a used Selmer C85 105. The supplied case is brand new.
