Leblanc, LL, E Flat Clarinet
An extremely rare Leblanc, Paris, LL enhanced Boehm Eb clarinet. The Leblanc LL, was named after Leon Leblanc, George's son. The design features an exceptionally even scale and intonation, and, though introduced in the 1960s, was so successful that the model continued in manufacture right up until when the firm was sold to Buffet in 2009. This instrument features 7 rings, enabling a fork Eb/Bb in the LH and, in addition, an articulated C#/G# mechanism. Likely this top of the range professional instrument was a special order from Leblanc. The condition is excellent, with no cracks or damage to the wood, apart from slight scuffs to the bell near the tenon ring, and pristine silver plate keywork. All pads are either premium white leather or cork, i.e. the two lowest trill keys, and register key. The condition of the pads is "as new", and the clarinet is sold with our full 1 year warranty. The serial numbers are 23661. The original case shows some slight interior stains. The m'piece is a mint condition Kuckmeier "PlayEasy". This instrument easily competes with a Buffet Prestige Eb, and in fact the mechanism is superior. The intonation and evenness of the LL model is justly renowned.
