A good condition Dolnet, Soprano Saxophone. This instrument is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct and has just had a full overhaul in tan leather pads. The serial number is 5329, which from the look and style of the key work probably dates to the 1920s.
The silver plated key work shows wear commensurate with age, as does the body, but there are no dents or repairs. The case is the original showing much use, with a hole to the exterior and much interior staining. The next owner will have to factor in the cost of a new case. The original m'piece is included which plays with a large and vibrant sound, possibly this instrument was designed for military use!
