Selmer Recital A Clarinet
This is an excellent condition Selmer, Paris, Recital A Clarinet, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The original and sole owner was an extremely successful top London professional, who had one of the largest collections of clarinets & saxophones in the business. Selmer Recital clarinets are undoubtedly among the best designed French instruments worldwide. The upper joint features a large reversed cone which narrows to 14.4mm. This results in exceptionally accurate twelfths, and overall the intonation is superior to most other French designed instruments today.
The wood is pristine, & the stamps like new, it is obvious that the clarinet has been used very sparingly. The matching serial numbers are D1383, which dates to the early 1980s. All Silver plate is in good order. The clarinet has the original Selmer pads, which, though old, are sealing well. There are two original barrels of 62.5 mm and 64.5mm. The Buffet single case is in very good condition.
