Buffet, Full Boehm, B Flat Clarinet
An excellent condition Buffet Full Boehm clarinet. The instrument has matching serial numbers 21844 which dates to 1936, and is a Full Boehm. This period, immediately prior to WW II, was an excellent time of manufacture, featuring a bore of 14.85mm. It has all the "bells and whistles": Fork Eb/Bb, articulated C sharp/ G sharp, LH Ab/Eb lever and bottom Eb key. The clarinet is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The German Silver keywork throughout is in good order with no discernible wear The instrument has wood throughout in very good condition, with no cracks or repairs. It has just had a full and complete overhaul with fish skin pads in our workshop, and is sold with a full 1 year warranty. The barrel is not original but tunes this clarinet well. The case is an Orsi in poor condition. It has only one latch remaining and has a belt fitted to secure that catch. There is also a hole wear the rear thumb rest meets the case lining.
