Matched Pair of Boosey & Hawkes Emperor Clarinets
A nice condition pair of B&H Emperors which are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The Emperor was the top of the range student model offered by B&H, equivalent to todays Buffet E13. For a pair dating to the late 1950s they are in very good shape.
The Bb has matching serial nos. N138295, it has nickel silver plating throughout, which is in good condition with only slight wear to the throat keys. The wood is in fine condition with no cracks or damage, apart from some very slight marks to the bell rim. The pads, whilst not new, are in good used condition. This Bb comes with a very nice B&H 92 Kell m'piece. This is a significant upgrade, as usually this m'piece was supplied with the professional model Imperial 926 clarinet.
The A has matching serial nos. N142575. As with the Bb the wood condition is excellent, and all fish skin pads are also in very good shape. The nickel silver plating is also in very fine condition. The double case is good used condition, is well padded, with only slight interior stains.
