Selmer Mark VI Alto Saxophone
A Selmer Mk VI Alto saxophone, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct, and has been last owned by a London Professional. The Alto is an iconic example of the famous early Mark VI, which many feel has not been equalled since by Selmer. The original lacquer shows natural wear commemorate with age and usage. It is important to remember that this fine example has been much used and played, as befits a superb playing Mark VI. The keywork, rods and screws are also in good condition. This instrument was recently serviced, and has all tan leather pads, corks and felts in excellent condition. The serial numbers are 57895, which dates to 1954.
This Selmer Mark VI Alto is everything a player could hope from this early period of production, the response and tone are exemplary. The supplied case is an original Selmer in very good used condition, with a tri-pack case for clarinet.
