Peter Eaton, International, B Flat Clarinet
A very good condition Eaton International Bb clarinet, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The last owner of this clarinet used it professionally as solo Clarinettist of a Forces Band. The silver plating is very good throughout. There are no cracks or damage to the wood, apart from a very tiny surface crack to the lower part of the "cut out" for the C#/G# key. This is very hard to photograph, but see photo 7, it has absolutely no effect on the playabilty of the clarinet, which was used professionally for many years after the repair at Howarths. . The matching serial numbers are S475. The pads are all very good condition leather. There are 3 original barrels of 61mm, 63mm and 64mm. The m'piece is a used Eaton, but the last owner used a stanadard French bore m'piece. The case is a modern example in very good condition.
