Selmer, Paris, B Flat Clarinet
An early original logo Selmer Bb clarinet, with an articulated C#/G# key. This instrument has very worn but likely matching serial numbers 3194, but the fact that it is stamped with the original logo probably dates it to 1929. The Grenadilla wood has no cracks or damage, it could be that the bell is in cocus or very light hued Grenadilla, the wood is unstained. The German silver key work shows much wear throughout. The barrel is not original, it is a Buffet of 7.5mm which tunes the clarinet wellThis clarinet has a bore of 14.9mm, and was a transitional model, made just before the introduction of the "L" series and Radio Improved clarinets. The instrument has fish skin pads which are well used but sealing. The case is in fair used condition, and The m'piece is a Selmer "B*". Though the clarinet does play it is sold "as is" or as a "fixer-upper"!
