Selmer, Paris, C Clarinet, Bucknall Collection
This is a Selmer, Paris, C Clarinet in Grenadilla wood, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This instrument was bought new by Nick Bucknall and used professionally by him for many film recording sessions throughout his long career.
Selmer Paris C clarinets are considered the finest mainstream produced worldwide, due to their superb tuning and ergonomics. This instrument is in fine condition, with very good intonation and response. All Nickel Silver plated keywork shows little wear with only a slight tarnish. The pads are predominantly fish skin with some newer examples in white leather. The matching serial nos. are Z1128, which dates to the late 1970s. All pieces are original and matching with no damage to the wood, which is unblemished throughout. There are 2 original Selmer barrels of 49mm and 53mm. The case is the original Selmer, and is in good used condition. This instrument will play well with all standard Bb clarinet m'pieces, therefore most players use their existing m'piece successfully.
