Leblanc, Paris, Infinite B Flat Clarinet
A very good condition Leblanc Infinite Bb clarinet. The Leblanc Infinite is virtually identical in specification and design to the Leblanc Concerto: Whereas the Concerto was designed to play firmly down to pitch throughout all registers [aimed primarily at the USA market] the Infinite was designed to play slightly sharper in the altissimo register; perhaps a more traditional European model! This clarinet was bought new by its original owner, and not used once he started at University, it has had little use.
This instrument is one of Leblanc's top professional wooden models, it features the same poly-cylindrical bore design, of 14.61mm, as the Opus and Concerto. It was made with all of Leblanc's usual engineering excellence; with gold plated needle springs, separate pillar mounted Ab/Eb, and aged unstained Grenadilla wood. This Bb has no damage or repairs to the wood, which is in excellent condition throughout. The Silver plate key work is in very good condition, with no wear. All pieces are original & all have matching stamps, apart from the second shorter barrel, which is from a Leblanc Sonata. The clarinet had a minor service recently with some pads replaced. The majority are used fish skin, with some cork, but all are sealing well. This Bb has matching serial nos. 72100. The supplied m'piece is a professional Vandoren 5RV Lyre in ebonite, in used condition. The case is the original in very good condition.
