Buffet, RC Prestige, B Flat Clarinet
A good condition Buffet RC Prestige Bb clarinet, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. There is one old crack repair, by Mike Huntriss, to the back of the upper joint. The crack goes through the speaker key hole, which as this is metal lined, has no effect on the response, the crack has been pinned and glued and has been stable for nearly 3 decades of professional use, see photos 9 & 10. All pieces are matching and original. The Silver plate key work is excellent throughout, with no discernible wear, apart from the thumb bush which sowws slight wear.. The instrument has used fish skin pads, apart from the first 2 trill keys and register key which are in cork, all are sealing well. The matching serial nos. are 435242 which dates to 1997. This instrument features an adjustable thumb rest and unstained hand selected Grenadilla wood.
