Leblanc, Vito, ContraBass Clarinet to low E Flat
This is a Vito BBb Contrabass clarinet, model 7182, range to low Eb, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct, as the current owner has upgraded to a paperclip. The instrument is made from Resotone plastic, with a wood effect finish. It has a key lay out ideal for the beginning Contrabass player. The design has a double register key, and also features balanced key action. The bore is 30mm & the S/N 8855B. The Nickel plated keywork is in good condition. The BBb has excellent condition tan leather pads throughout, the last owner has taken good care of this instrument. There are 2 cracks to the upper joint [one at the top and the other at the bottom, see photos 5, 6 & 16], These have been filled, sealed, pinned, and lined internally, in our workshop, to make sure the repairs are absolutely airtight and secure.
The instrument has been owned for over 10 years by the last owner, who has experienced no issues with the repairs. The supplied mouthpieces is an "as new" Clark Fobes Debut. The original case is also in functional used condition, one latch has failed, and the interior shows wear. The BBb comes with a legere 2.5 reed & 2 new cane reeds.
