R. Malerne, Paris, C Clarinet
An excellent condition, R M Malerne, Paris, C Clarinet. Malerne were a second rank French manufacturer active from 1932 to about 1950. Importantly for a C clarinet this instruments tunes well with a standard Bb clarinet m'piece, and the original is supplied. The clarinet has just had a full overhaul in fish skin pads in our workshop, and is sold with our 1 year warranty. The German silver key work shows no wear, it is excellent throughout. There are no cracks to the Grenadilla wood, which again is in excellent condition. The instrument was made to the highest standards, with metal reinforced tenon to the upper joint, and anchored pillars to the lower joint long barrel keys. The matching serial numbers are 544. The case is the original which has a tear to the lining, and the RH catch has failed. For this reason a modern carry case, with zip and strap is supplied.
