Matched Pair of Boosey & Hawkes Imperial 1010 Clarinets
A very fine condition pair of B&H Imperial 1010's which are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This pair are pre-Acton patent vent models & date to the mid 1960s, they have been extremely well maintained. The Bb, with matching serial nos. 251420, has Silver plate throughout in good condition, though there is wear to the ring finger touch pieces, as well as the thumb bush. There are no cracks or repairs to the wood, though the bottom tenon of the upper joint has been reinforced with metal, this could well be how the clarinet was originally manufactured. The pads are all tan leather, of which the majority are new, or in good used condition.
The A, matching serial nos. 258116, has used tan leather pads in excellent condition. The silver plate throughout is in good shape. The wood is crack and repair free. There are 2 barrels of 64.5, 62.5 mm. The supplied m'piece is an "as new" Peter Eaton, 1.29mm 21.5 A. The case is in excellent condition.
