Selmer, Series 9, B Flat Clarinet
An excellent condition Selmer Series 9 Bb Clarinet, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This is an enhanced Boehm model with articulated C#/G# and fork Eb/Bb. The 9* was marketed by Selmer as "pour la musique symphonique", the 9 was "pour le jazz et les varietes." The Nickel Silver plated keywork is in pristine condition. The Grenadilla wood is in very good condition with no cracks or repairs. The clarinet has mostly cork pads, with the larger pads in white leather, it has been exceptionally well maintained. The Series 9 was the last of the wide bore Selmer clarinets. The clarinet measures 15.25mm at the top of the reverse cone of the upper joint, there are 2 Selmer barrels of 62.5mm and 66.5mm. The matching serial numbers are T2978 which dates to 1963. The original case is in excellent condition and the m'piece is a used Selmer D.
