Buffet, Vintage, R13, B Flat Clarinet
A very good condition vintage Buffet R13 Bb clarinet. This Bb has matching serial nos. F53250 which dates to 1955. The bell has the stamp of the sole UK importer for Buffet at that time, "Dallas". Back then this were the finest professional instrument Buffet made, with unstained, matched wood. This was before the introduction of the ""Prestige" range, which effectively downgraded the standard R13 considerably. These days R13s are made from inferior quality wood which is stained to hide imperfections. All pieces are matching and original, and stamped "Buffet". Though an additional shorter 64.5mm more modern Buffet barrel is also supplied. The German Silver keywork is in good condition throughout, with a natural surface patina. The wood is also in good used condition, with only minor surface marks and scratches. This instrument has had a full overhaul in fish skin pads in our workshop, with touch and tenon corks replaced, and is sold with our full 1 year warranty. The suplied case is a modern Buffet back pack example and the m'piece is a used Vandoren M13.
