Selmer, " Cigar Cutter" Tenor Saxophone
A very fine condition Selmer "Cigar Cutter" Tenor Saxophone, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This example is a rare model as it left the factory in Chrome plate, which does show some wear as seen in the photos, please select individual photos and hover over them with your mouse to view in "close up". The body does show some small dings and scratches, all signs of normal use befitting a more than 90 year old vintage sax. This Tenor had some additional pad guards added by Pete Snowden, see the last photo, but this aside it is in original condition. This example has S/N 18610, dating to 1934. The pads are all used synthetic thin examples, but in very good condition & sealing well. It comes with an original Selmer Soloist C** m'piece, & in an excellent condition Hiscox case. With this m'piece the instrument responds with a warm, woody tone, an excellent intonation.
