Matched Pair of Boosey & Hawkes 1010 Clarinets
A good condition pair of B&H Symphony 1010 clarinets which are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This pair come with the original "Guarantee" cards signed by Geoffrey Acton, who was the designer of the Acton vent. This pair have been down to our workshop for regulation and corks replaced as necessary. The instruments have used tan leather pads throughout in used condition, the older examples are "Gordon Beeson", with some newer pads. The Bb, matching serial nos. 435216 [dating to the mid 1970s], has only a natural patina to the silver plate, it is good condition throughout. There is no damage to the wood, though there are some surface marks. The A, matching serial nos. 450116 [dating to mid 1970s] has silver plate in good condition. Again there are no cracks or damage to the wood. All pieces are matching and original. Like the Bb, the A features the later design of Acton patent vent for improved RH tuning. There are 2 barrels of 64.0mm and 64.5mm. The single m'piece is an original B&H No.2. The case is the original in fair condition.
