This is a model 400 Buescher Alto saxophone, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The last owner was Tony Coe, probably one of the most successful Jazz musicians of his generation. He was a member of many bands including Humphrey Lyttleton's and John Dankworth's. Please note this instrument has not been through our workshop for any service or adjustments. It is exactly as was used by Tony.
This instrument is in extremely good condition. It has excellent condition tan leather pads throughout. The serial number 341754 which dates to 1952. The lacquer shows only a slight wear and scratches, and there are no dents or repairs. The ProTech case is in fine condition.
