Yamaha YTS23 Tenor Saxophone
This is a fair condition Yamaha YTS23 Tenor Sax, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This instrument's last professional owner was also a repairman and it has been kept in good playing condition. This instrument was made at the main Yamaha factory in Tokyo, Japan, not under license in Indonesia, as the modern Yamaha student models are. The solid build and quality of the Gold lacquered Brass body are justly renowned, this instrument would suit either a beginner or a professional on a budget.
The Tenor has serial nos. 012407 The original lacquer shows much wear, as seen in the photographs, there are also many scratches to the rear near the sling hook attachment, and the bell. There are no dents, or repairs, the body condition is fair for the age of the Tenor. The key work is well regulated. This saxophone has leather pads which are a mixture of new and older examples, all are sealing well. This Tenor plays easily throughout its range, with even response and intonation. It would suit a player on a budget not overly worried by the cosmetic condition The case is in good used condition, with some exterior marks, and interior wear. It comes with a student m'piece and sling.
