This is a Selmer, Paris, C Clarinet in Grenadilla wood, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This instrument was bought new by Chris Gradwell and used professionally by him in most of the UKs top orchestras throughout his long career.
Selmer Paris C clarinets are considered the finest mainstream produced worldwide, due to their superb tuning and ergonomics. This instrument is pristine, with very good intonation and response. All Nickel Silver plated keywork is excellent. The pads are tan leather, with a mixture of brand new, and used, we have just completed a partial service to bring the clarinet back into fine playing condition. The matching serial nos. are A3023, which dates to the early 1980s. All pieces are original and matching with no damage to the wood, which is unblemished throughout . The case is the original Selmer, and is in good used condition as is the HS Selmer m'piece. This instrument will play well with all standard Bb clarinet m'pieces, therefore most players use their existing m'piece successfully.
