Leblanc, Paris, C Clarinet
This superb condition professional Leblanc C Clarinet is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This instrument has an impressive provenance having been bought new in the 1960s by the renowned clarinettist and saxophonist Paul Harvey. More recently it has been owned by Susi Evans, the well known Klezmer player. The reason for the sale is that Susi found it impossible to fit a pick up microphone to the short barrrel. The matching serial nos. are 10223. The German Silver keywork is in excellent condition, with no discernible wear. The Grenadilla wood is in fine condition throughout with no cracks or damage. The instrument has "as new" fish skin pads, which are sealing well. The instrument tunes very well with any modern standard French bore m'piece. This means most players can play their regular Bb m'piece successfully. The Yamaha case is in good condition and the instrument comes with 2 barrels, a 48mm and a 53mm. In summation; this is an excellent C, a top professional model, which would match well with the finest French instruments currently available.
