Malerne, Paris, C Clarinet
An excellent condition, R M Malerne, Paris, C Clarinet. Malerne were a second rank French manufacturer active from 1932 to about 1950. Importantly for a C clarinet this instruments tunes well with a standard Bb clarinet m'piece, and a modern example, a used Vandoren B45 is supplied. The clarinet has just had a full overhaul in fish skin pads in our workshop, and is sold with our 1 year warranty. The German silver key work shows no wear, it is excellent throughout. There are no cracks to the Grenadilla wood, which again is in excellent condition. The instrument was made to the highest standards, with metal reinforced tenons to the upper joint, and anchored pillars to the lower joint long barrel keys. The case is a Buffet which has some interior stains to the lining, and has had the rear hinges replaced with a single hinge. This clarinet plays evenly and well in tune across the entire range
