Selmer, Prologue, B Flat Clarinet
A Selmer Prologue Bb clarinet, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The Selmer Prologue was a top of the range student model, but of extremely advanced acoustic design, in that it shares with the more expensive Selmer designs, Recital, Privilege, etc. a reducing taper bore throughout the upper joint. This does result is exceptionally fine and stable tuning. The most recent version of the Prologue is now badged "SeleS by Selmer".
This Bb, S/N F5862, has wood in good condition. There are no cracks or repairs, though the logo stamps are worn they can just be made out on every piece, which are original and matching. The silver plate shows some tarnish and pitting mainly to the lower joint, RH "pinky" keys but is in good condition. The pads, the majority of which are fish skin, are well used, but sealing. The original case is in good used condition ,
