Matched Pair of Eaton International Clarinets
Clarinets Direct has built up an enviable reputation in the last few years. We are the UK's foremost dealer in second hand quality clarinets and are fortunate to count many of the leading professional players in the UK and abroad as our customers and clients. These are a very good condition pair of Eaton International clarinets, which are a commission sale. The current owner is Spanish professional who bought the pair new some 20 years ago. A few months later the Bb clarinet cracked in the upper joint, a surface crack, which does not go through to the bore. It was returned to Peter Eaton and repaired under warranty with 3 pins, see photo 7. The repair has been stable for the last 20 years.
Both instruments have been very well mainatined, and have leather pads, ochre leather on the Bb and white leather on the A, which are in excellent condition. The Silver plating is very good, apart from some slight wear to the RH rings on the lower joint of the Bb. The International is Eaton's version of a medium bore clarinet. The matching serial nos. on the Bb are S285, and the A, S292. There are 4 interchangeable barrels of 65mm, 63mm, 62mm, and 61mm. The m'piece is an Eaton International 1.26 21.5 in excellent used condition. The case is the original Paxman, there are some interior stains and scuffs to the exterior. Here is a chance for someone to own a superb pair of instruments, with an impressive provenance, at a good cost saving from new.
