Buffet R13 B Flat Clarinet
A very good condition vintage Buffet R13 Bb clarinet, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This Bb has matching serial nos. F69571, which dates to 1961. Back then this was the finest professional instrument Buffet made, with unstained, matched wood. This was before the introduction of the ""Prestige" range, which effectively downgraded the standard R13 considerably. These days R13's are made from inferior quality wood which is stained to hide imperfections. All pieces are matching and original, and stamped "Buffet". When one plays this clarinet and experiences the fine intonation and evenness it is easy to see why this model became the preferred choice of players worldwide.
The Silver plated keywork is in excellent condition throughout, with no discernible wear. The wood is also in good used condition, with no cracks or repairs. We have just fully overhauled this clarinet in Pisoni fish skin pads, and it is sold with our 1 year warranty and but back offer. The m'piece is a Vandoren B45 which is much used. The original case has the slogan " The Sweetest Clarinet Ever Made" & shows some stains to the interior, & exterior scuffs, but still latches well, and protects the clarinet. If desired we can swap this for a modern carry strap example at no extra cost.
