Yamaha, CSG III B Flat Clarinet
A very good condition Yamaha CSGH CUSTOM III Bb clarinet, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This instrument has only had one professional owner who bought it new to begin her studies at the Welsh Conservatoire of Music. Yamaha made great claims for the CSG range; a new bore design is supposed to provide great tonal richness, as found in older instruments made from properly aged Grenadilla. Certainly the design has found much favour with many fine players, including Michael Collins, Nicholas Carpenter and Nicholas Cox.
This Bb clarinet, with matching serial nos. 01054, has wood which is finest unstained Grenadilla, without cracks, damage or blemish of any kind. The instrument has excellent condition finest white leather pads with some on the upper joint in cork. The silver plating is in good condition, with only slight tarnish. There are 2 barrels. The supplied original case is in good condition. The m'piece is a Yamaha 6C.
