Selmer Bundy, Bass Clarinet
This is a good condition Selmer Bundy Bass Clarinet model to low Eb. It is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This is a well made USA manufactured Bass, vastly superior to most Chinese made Bass clarinets on the market. There are no cracks or damage to the body, which is in Resonite. The crook is in very good condition, with no plating loss or dents. The bell however has several dents as well as scratches to the plating, see photos 6, 7, & 8. The flattening to the base of the bell was caused before the floor peg was fitted, the last owner had this done, and has taken excellent care of the instrument. All pads are "as new" tan leather with reflectors on the larger pads, and the instrument plays and responds excellently. The Nickel Silver plating shows the usual spot wear to the ring finger touch pieces. The Bass has a floor peg attachment, and double sling hook also. The serial nos. are 1235. . The mouthpiece is a Precision model in ebonite, again in good condition, as is the original case. The Bass comes with many accessories, a Koenig & Meyer stand, a sealed box of Vandoren No.2 reeds, and bore protector, pull through, etc. This would be an ideal purchase as a first Bass, or for a professional doubler on a budget.
