This is an anonymous Simple System plateau, i.e. fully covered hole, Bb clarinet. It is made of ebonite, and is most likely of French manufacture. We have just partially overhauled it to put it into good playing condition. It plays well across the entire range at A=440Hz with modern French bore m'pieces, a Selmer C** m'piece is supplied in good condition. This clarinet would suit the younger player, doubler, or even arthritic player who may have difficulty with a standard open hole 13 key clarinet. It would also suit a Jazz player looking for a clarinet well suited to outdoor use. The original case is much worn but fully functional
